Film Contest for Filmmakers at Terni Film Festival

Terni Film Festival invites all creative filmmakers all over the world to participate with their films and compete within the festival. Terni Film Festival for its 17th edition, taking place from 6 till 14 November 2021 announces a competition for feature films, documentaries, short films, and virtual reality experiences on the theme "What will be".

• In 2015, Terni Film Festival was the first Italian film festival to present an event of virtual reality, an experience repeated in 2016 and 2019. As a contribution to the recognition of virtual and augmented reality as an emerging art form, Terni Film Festival, therefore, has decided, on the occasion of the seventeenth edition scheduled from 6 to 14 November 2021, to include in the official international competition a section reserved for authors who apply this modern technology as a new means of artistic expression.

• Best Screenplay.
• Best Actor.
• Best Actress.
• Best Documentary.
• Best Short Movie.
• Best Soundtrack.
• Best Cinematography.
• Best Visual Effects.
• Best Editing.
• Best Scenography.
• Best Costumes.
• Gastone Moschin Award (Special prize).

• The application shall be submitted no later than 13th of September 2021. The format of the works must be exclusively in 4K or Full HD and in MP4 file, otherwise the application will be disqualified. If the film will be chosen for the screening, you must send it in DCP.
• All films must have English subtitles. Italian subtitles are welcome.
• For each submitted work, participants have to attach a signed entry form clearly indicating the film's title and the pressbook of the work, in addition to a release for any screening of the work during the Film Festival.
• The material sent for the selection will become the property of the Organization. The selected works will be screened in DCP.
• Registration for the competition is free of charge and open to everybody, regardless of age or nationality.
• Films that deal with the theme of “what will be” will have the priority: during a year of extreme precariousness and dreams of release after Covid-19 pandemic, the festival will talk about hope uncertainties and consequences of the pandemic in the world (in particular in developing countries), climate emergency and environmental issues.
