Opportunity description
Apply for the fully funded Cooperation Visits Programme for researchers in Germany. This program is a partnership between the German Research Foundation (DFG) and The World Academy of Sciences (TWAS) for researchers from Sub-Saharan Africa. The aim of the visit is to strengthen research collaboration between African and German scientists and to build long-term research partnerships.
Financial Benefits and Coverage
The programme covers travel expenses and provides subsistence during a three-month stay. This enables African researchers to collaborate effectively with German counterparts.
Eligibility Requirements
- PhD obtained not earlier than 2021, with exceptions for female applicants depending on maternity status (up to three children).
- Research position at an institution in sub-Saharan Africa.
- Engagement in the science system for at least five years.
- Proficiency in English or German is required.
- No established collaboration with the hosting institution.
