Opportunity description

Acumen Academy is offering a fully-funded Food Systems Fellowship for leaders and entrepreneurs from all over the world, which is a one-year leadership development program from April 2023 to November 2023 remotely and at headquarters in the US. The Food Systems Fellowship will introduce moral leadership concepts to a globally diverse cohort of 20 food systems builders who are creating more equitable, nourishing, and regenerative food systems. With leading food systems facilitators, Fellows will participate in a blend of immersive seminars, workshops, and self-directed leadership experiments. The program will combine in-person and virtual learning over the course of the Fellowship year.

  6. Acumen covers all fellowship-related expenses during the fellowship year. This includes all costs associated with the in-person seminars including lodging, food, transportation and visas, as well as technology costs associated with virtual seminars.

Eligibility criteria

  1. Currently lead or be a part of building one of more an organizations or initiative that exists to tackle poverty or injustice within food systems.
  2. Demonstrate a long term commitment to food systems work including more than 5 years of work experience in the sector anywhere in the world.
  3. Be in a position of leadership where you work, meaning you have the capacity to influence change.
  4. Demonstrate self-awareness and the ability to challenge yourselfto grow as a leader.
  5. Live in a place with telephone and internet coverage so that you can actively participate in an online learning environment.
  6. Have the ability to read and write texts of medium complexity in English and basic handling of social platforms (e.g. Whatsapp) so that you can be an active member of the community.
