University of Tuscia in Italy is offering 40 scholarships to the most deserving international students enrolled in the first year of one of the Second Cycle Degree Programs taught in English or Italian at the University of Tuscia in the a.y. 2021/2022.
- 10 positions are available for students coming from all over the world; Chile, Romania, and Cameroon excluded;
- 12 positions are reserved to students residing in Chile, Romania, and Cameroon;
- 4 positions are reserved to students from all over the world, enrolling in the Master’s Degree Course in Circular Economy (LM76);
- 4 positions are reserved to students from all over the world enrolling in the Master’s Degree Course in Security and Human Rights (LM90);
- 10 positions are reserved to students from all over the world enrolling in the Master’s Degree Course in Forestry and Environmental Sciences (LM73).
Benefits
These Scholarships provide support worth up to € 4.860,00/year.
Beneficiaries of the scholarship will benefit of:
- full tuition fee reduction (up to € 1.000, in any case, the student must pay only the revenue stamp);
- one year of free accommodation at the student residence or, in case of unavailability of places, reimbursement for private accommodation costs (up to a maximum of 180 €/month up to a maximum of 12 months);
- one free meal per day - from Monday to Saturday - during the academic year, at the student Canteen or affiliated restaurant in Viterbo. Students in programs though in other locations will receive a reimbursement of € 100,00 per month as a contribution for meals;
- reimbursement of Visa and travel costs from their Countries to Italy, up to a maximum of 500,00€ (upon presentation of the required documentation).
Benefits will be ensured for the second semester only if the student will obtain at least 12 university credits (CFU) in the first semester.
Applicants are recommended to apply also for the scholarship provided by Lazio Regional Board for the Right to Education (LazioDisco). Apart from free accommodation and meals, an additional study grant of approximately € 3.757,00 per year can guarantee wider financial support. The call to apply is usually published in May on the LazioDisco website (www.laziodisco.it) and the deadline for application is usually set at the end of July. Students are invited to check the website for the rules set in the specific call for applications for A.Y. 2021/22. The staff of the Mobility and International Cooperation Office of the University of Tuscia will support students to apply.
Eligibility criteria
This call is open exclusively to applicants who:
- are residing abroad at the time of the application and specifically in Cameroon, Chile, and Romania for the 12 reserved positions;
- hold a Bachelor’s degree or post-secondary qualification gained from a foreign University or a recognized Higher Institution not earlier than 2016;
- have a Grade Point Average of 24/30, according to the Italian tertiary education grading systems approved by the Ministry of Education;
- meet the specific admission requirements of the second cycle degree program of interest and have already passed the admission interview;
- have appropriate language skills.
The scholarship of this call cannot be combined with any other scholarship including:
- Erasmus+ scholarships;
- Study grants issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI);
- CRUI (Conferenza dei Rettori Italiani) grants for beneficiaries of international protection;
- study grants issued by foreign governmental bodies or institutions aimed at assisting the enrolment of international students at Italian Universities;
- LazioDisco scholarship.
