Opportunity description
The Coimbra Group Scholarship Programme for 2026/2027 offers an outstanding opportunity for African researchers to participate in short-term research visits (1-3 months) at prestigious universities across Europe. This initiative aims to help early-career researchers from Sub-Saharan Africa to further their research related to their home institution work while fostering academic and research collaboration with European scientists and institutions. Female applicants are encouraged and given priority.

- University of Bergen – Norway, among others.

Eligibility criteria
- The applicant must be born on or after January 1, 1981.
- Must be of African nationality and currently residing in Sub-Saharan Africa, Latin America, neighboring European countries such as the Balkans, the Middle East, North Africa, or former Soviet Union countries.
- Faculty member at a recognized educational institution or university in Africa.
- Must have an acceptance letter from a supervisor at the host university.
