Scholarship Overview
The Martin Roth Initiative offers a unique scholarship opportunity for artists and cultural actors looking to temporarily relocate to Germany. This fully funded scholarship supports creative individuals at risk, providing them with financial and personal support for up to 15 months.
Financial Benefits and Coverage
Recipients receive a monthly stipend to cover living expenses, alongside individual support for necessary insurance, psychosocial care, language courses, and other valuable activities. Additional funding is available for host organizations if extra personnel are needed.
Eligibility Requirements
The scholarship is intended for artists and cultural practitioners in collaboration with host cultural institutions. Applicants with experience in the arts and cultural exchange are preferred, along with proficiency in English or German. Applicants from European Union/European Economic Area countries are excluded, and the applicant must not be residing in a safe region.

The scholarship encompasses disciplines including arts, design, and music, supporting diverse creative expressions.
