Scholarship Overview
The Think Big Scholarships are a flagship international scholarship program offered by the University of Bristol, designed to help outstanding overseas students who aspire to study at one of the UK’s top-ranked institutions.
Financial Benefits and Coverage
- Tuition fee discounts: up to £13,000 per year for undergraduate studies and up to £26,000 for postgraduate studies.
- An additional £3,000 award through the Think Big Career Accelerator.
Eligibility Requirements
- Applicants must be international students and have applied for a full-time undergraduate or postgraduate program at the University of Bristol.

Must be residing outside the UK at the time of application.

Up to 4 years for undergraduate study
1 year for postgraduate study

Benefits
Undergraduate scholarship values: £6,500 or £13,000 per year, renewable up to 4 years (with satisfactory progress).
Postgraduate scholarship values: £6,500, £13,000 or £26,000 for one year.
Career Accelerator award: eligible postgraduate students may also receive a Think Big Career Accelerator with up to £3,000 towards tuition or bursary.
Access to the Think Big Development Programme (leadership and career support) for successful applicants
Eligibility criteria
- Must be international (overseas fee status)
- Must have applied to study an eligible full-time UG or PG programme at Bristol starting September 2026
- No need to have received an offer before scholarship application, but application ID is required.
- English proficiency is typically demonstrated through: IELTS, TOEFL, or other accepted English tests
