Opportunity description
Swansea University is offering a fully funded scholarship for Ph.D. students in the field of Physics in the UK. This scholarship will be funded by Swansea University and the “Bill Burnell Postgraduate Scholarship”. This scholarship will be awarded to applicants from marginalized groups (such as women, BAME, and disabled people) based on their merit and distinction. The research topic submitted must be within the following core research areas and terms of reference of the Department of Physics at Swansea:
- Physics and Applied Sciences.
- Atomic, molecular, and quantum physics.
- Particle physics and cosmology.
Benefits
- This scholarship will cover full UK tuition fees and an annual stipend of £18,622 for 2023/24.
- Some additional research expenses will also be provided.

Eligibility criteria
- You must hold a 2.1 level undergraduate degree or master's degree with a minimum required overall grade (or non-UK equivalent degree as determined by Swansea University)
