The University of Edinburgh in the UK offers the International Master of Science in Fire Safety Engineering (IMFSE) program to students from all over the world.
Benefits
There will be 8 full scholarships covering tuition fees plus a stipend of €1,400 per month.
Eligibility criteria
- The applicants have a Bachelor (or Master) degree or recognized equivalent from an accredited institution in civil / structural / mechanical / electrical / chemical / industrial engineering, material sciences, chemistry, physics, applied physics, architecture, urbanism and spatial planning or a related discipline.
- Note: Students in their last year of such a study programme at the time of application will also be considered for admission. It is the applicant's responsibility that the required degree is obtained prior to the start of the IMFSE programme.
- English Language Requirements: Applicants must provide an English language certificate no more than three and a half years old from the start date of the programme (September), unless you are using IELTS, TOEFL, Trinity ISE or ESOL, in which case it must be no more than two years old.
About the International Master of Science in Fire Safety Engineering (IMFSE):
The International Master of Science in Fire Safety Engineering (IMFSE) is a 2-year educational programme in the Erasmus+ framework. IMFSE is commonly organized by Ghent University, (Belgium, coordinator) Lund University (Sweden), and the University of Edinburgh (United Kingdom). The programme started for the first time in September 2010. IMFSE also has three renowned Associated Partners: The University of Maryland (USA), The University of Queensland (Australia) and ETH Zürich (Switzerland).
