Opportunity description
Fora invites young women around the world to participate in the 2022 Summit in Canada. Thirty participants will be selected from around the world to build their advocacy skills, develop their confidence as advocates, and build networks to advance gender equality and women's leadership in their countries of origin.
Summit Programme:
- Pre-Global Summit: Completion of workshops, readings, and group virtual work to get to know Fora and fellow Delegates. In advance of the Global Summit, you may expect to dedicate 5-10 hours per month towards preparation.
- Global Summit: One week of workshops, networking, and collaboration with fellow Delegates in Toronto, Canada.
- Global Summit Leadership Forum: A one-day, public event with speakers and special guests held in Toronto, Canada* at the end of the week-long Global Summit.
- Post-Global Summit: Mentoring, ongoing skill-building, and travel and speaking opportunities through Fora to continue to influence decision-makers.

The Summit covers all travel costs, visas and COVID-19 related considerations for all Delegates.
Eligibility criteria
- Participation is open to people from all over the world.
- Applicants must be at least 18 years old as of January 1, 2022 and no older than 24 as of December 31, 2022
What advocacy opportunities will come from the Global Summit?
- After the Global Summit, Delegates will be supported to continue to develop advocacy efforts in their home countries through mentorship and alumnae engagement.
- Additionally, Delegates will work with Fora to identify “spaces of power” (e.g., UN Women meetings, G20 consultations, Womens’ Forum panels, etc.) where Delegates can participate in decision-making.

Launched in 2009 by Founder, Farah Mohamed, and operating as G(irls)20 from 2009 - 2021. Fora is advancing the full participation of young women leaders in decision-making spaces in order to change the status quo.
