Opportunity description
The GLOBE – Erasmus Mundus Joint Master in Global Change Ecology and Biodiversity Management is now accepting applications for its third cohort, 2027–2029. This international joint Master’s program focuses on global change, ecology, biodiversity management, and nature conservation.
The program is designed for students interested in understanding contemporary environmental challenges and developing scientific and practical solutions to address biodiversity loss and environmental change, while integrating ecological, social, economic, and political perspectives.
Up to 25 students from around the world will be selected to join the new cohort.
Benefits
Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters (EMJM) Scholarships are available to outstanding applicants and include:
Full coverage of program participation fees.
A monthly stipend of €1,400.
Funding throughout the full 24-month program duration.
A total stipend of up to €33,600 over two years.
The monthly stipend is intended to help cover:
Living expenses.
Accommodation.
Travel costs.
Other expenses during the study period.
The participation fees covered by the scholarship include health and accident insurance.
Coverage of academic activities, including the summer school and joint events.
Enrollment at partner universities and access to university libraries, laboratories, and facilities.
Eligibility criteria
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
Hold a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, corresponding to at least 180 ECTS credits.
The degree should be in a relevant field, such as:
Biology.
Agriculture.
Environmental Sciences.
Forestry.
Physical and Environmental Geography.
Natural Resources.
Or an equivalent and relevant Bachelor’s degree.
Demonstrate academic excellence and a strong interest in challenges related to environmental change and biodiversity.
Have at least a B2 level of English proficiency.
Complete and submit the application by the specified deadline.
Applicants who have previously received an EMJM Scholarship are not eligible to receive an additional Erasmus Mundus Joint Master scholarship.
