Opportunity description
UNV offers a volunteer opportunity to work for 2 weeks in Graphic Design for the Disinformation Pacific Conference. It is looking for 2 online volunteers who under the guidance of the UNIC Communication Focal Point and in close collaboration with the conference co-hosts produce 2-3 graphic designs for UNIC Canberra and a conference "Disinfo Pacific" to be held from 11-12 November 2024.
Duties & responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- Create a draft design based on requirements and discuss it with the focal point/ communications team.
- Develop the design according to the agreed requirements.
- Develop a series of social media assets once the final concept is agreed upon.
- There is also a draft design as a starting point.
Please note:
- The design/layout should follow the corporate design guidelines which will be shared with the Online Volunteers in advance.
- The Online Volunteers will have the opportunity to build connections with the UNIC Canberra team and its partners and learn about the ways in which graphic design can support the promotion of a conference centering on disinformation as it relates to democracy/elections, climate, and health.
Eligibility criteria
You should have:
- A degree in graphic design or related field.
- Professional experience in graphic design with previous experience in designing document layouts.
- In-depth knowledge of graphic design applications.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- English, Level: Working knowledge.
