Duties & responsibilities
- Act as a key individual contributor in the Global Quality of Life Project team, working hand in hand with the project team at UN-Habitat, international experts, and the Quality of Life Center, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
- Layout and design the reporting, information, and communication materials (banners, posters, booklets, books, reports, and infographics) for printing and electronic distribution.
- Deliver creative and innovative ideas for print, electronic, web-based, and animated presentations and designs.
- Own the design process end-to-end, from ideation to delivery; Support the design and facilitation of meetings.
- Create visual assets on core tools (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
- Conduct extensive video design work (mostly using Motion graphics and After Effects).
- Supports the design work for the project website.
- Ensure design deliverables are following UN-Habitat guidelines, on brand, and optimized per delivery channel.
- Improve and edit artwork, photos, charts, and other graphic elements.
- Deliver creative graphic and technical solutions for the use of new media.
- Archive and share open artwork files, in addition to deliverables, in an organized and tracked system.
- Any additional requirements jobs assigned by the supervisor.

Eligibility criteria
You must have:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Graphic Design or related field.
- 3 years of experience in graphic design, including knowledge of Graphic Design Applications.
- Solid overall computer literacy, including proficiency in various MS Office applications (Excel, Word, etc.) and email/internet.
- Proven experience of graphic production from start to published/printed product with knowledge of printing processes
(offset and digital) and color management. - Good understanding of new and evolving technologies and digital platforms.
- Excellent verbal and written skills in English and Arabic.
- Ability to provide examples of work undertaken.
- Excellent communication (spoken and written) skills.
- understood by non-information management practitioners.
- Ability to deliver high-quality results on time.
- Self-motivated, ability to work with minimum supervision.
- Ability to work and adapt professionally and effectively in a challenging environment.
- Teamwork, flexibility, and respect for diversity.
- Planning and organizing skills.
