Opportunity description

UNV announces its need for 30 online volunteerswho, under the guidance of the design focal point and in close collaboration with the communications team, will support by designing weekly graphics and infographics for the Nexus Reports. The graphics and infographics will aim to visually translate complex global risk concepts into accessible and engaging formats for publication.

Duties & responsibilities

You will be responsible for:
  • Collect information on the Nexus Report’s content, target audience, branding guidelines, and visual style.
  • Based on the editorial content, create a draft motion graphic or infographic and share it with the focal point/communications team for feedback.
  • Finalize the design according to agreed-upon requirements and branding standards.
  • Designs and produces one graphic or infographic piece for Nexus Reports weekly, as part of a team delivering a complete Nexus Report PDF design and delivery.
Please note: All work should follow the corporate design guidelines, which will be shared with the Online Volunteers at the start of the assignment.

Eligibility criteria

You must have:

  • Advanced proficiency in graphic design and animation software (Adobe After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop).
  • Proven experience in motion graphics, animation, or graphic design for video production, with a portfolio showcasing relevant work.
  • Strong ability to create smooth, engaging animations that enhance video storytelling.
  • Expertise in designing visually appealing elements that explain complex concepts related to global risks.
  • Experience with audio design and sound integration is a plus.
  • Attention to detail to ensure all visual and audio elements are well-integrated and enhance overall video quality.
  • Creative problem-solving skills to develop innovative visual solutions, effectively communicating GRF’s messages.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work closely with videographers/editors and scriptwriters.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Ability to work 11 - 15 hours per week.
