Opportunity description
UNV offers a volunteer opportunity in Thailand to work as HR Analyst – Learning and Development, which is expected to start on 01/10/2023 for 12 months with the possibility of extension.
Duties & responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- Serve as the Secretariat for the ROAP Learning Committee.
- Develop and conduct ROAP Learning Need Analysis.
- Develop and implement a ROAP Learning and Development (L&D) strategy and work plan.
- Develop and coordinate the various L&D programs, in coordination with HQ and the various technical teams.
- Develop and maintain the various L&D platforms (e.g. Job Swap, etc.).
- Monitor the ROAP learning budget.
- Provide advice and support to country offices on L&D matters.
- Serve as onboarding focal point to systematize the AP Regional orientation program.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
- You should dedicate a part of your working time to some of the following suggested activities:
- Provide annual and end-of-assignment self-reports on UN Volunteer actions, results, and opportunities.
- Contribute articles/write-ups on field experiences and submit them for UNV publications/websites, newsletters, press releases, etc.
Eligibility criteria
You must have:
- Master's degree or equivalent in HR, Business Administration, Public Administration, Social Sciences, or related field.
- 3 years of experience in HR, Business Administration, Public Administration, Social Sciences, or related field.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience at the national or international level in human resources.
- Fluent in English.
- Experience in learning and development.
- Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc.) and experience in handling of web-based management systems.
- Creative Problem Solving and a general understanding of gender equality and women’s empowerment issues.
- Strong understanding of human resources management.
- Good analytical skills and good planning and organization skills.
- Strong team player, and client-oriented.
- Strong IT skills, and knowledge of an ERP system.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
Please note: Candidate must be a national of a country other than the country of assignment and be aged 27 - 80.
