Opportunity description
The Protection Cluster in the occupied Palestinian territory (OPT), led by OHCHR, is seeking two dedicated Online Volunteers to strengthen information management systems. This role supports evidence-based protection programming and humanitarian planning in Gaza and the West Bank through tools like the Protection Monitoring System (PMS) and 5W reporting. The volunteer will assist during an intensive reporting period to enhance data quality and information products. This is a "FREE" opportunity; the United Nations does not charge any application or recruitment fees.
Duties & responsibilities
Develop 2–3 analytical tables to support protection products.
Contribute to the production of at least one Protection Snapshot or analytical brief.
Clean, label, and document datasets to ensure they are structured and ready for use.
Improve Information Management (IM) workflow tools, such as templates, trackers, or SOPs.
Support the IM team in quality control during high-reporting periods.
Eligibility criteria
Fluency in both English and Arabic is required.
Academic or professional experience working with data.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Familiarity with Power BI, KoboToolbox, or GIS is highly desirable.
Previous experience or familiarity with humanitarian coordination is considered an asset.
Ability to commit 16-20 hours per week for a duration of 12 weeks.
