Opportunity description
The “Jo YS” or “Scientists of Tomorrow” initiative is a national program that aims to motivate and reward outstanding students in the fields of Science, Mathematics, Engineering, and Technology, encouraging them to apply their knowledge beyond traditional classroom settings. This initiative is based on the successful Irish model, the Young Scientist & Technology Exhibition.
Accepted Fields in the Initiative:
- Chemical, Physical, and Mathematical Sciences
- Technology
- Biological and Environmental Sciences
- Social and Behavioral Sciences
- Vocational and Technical Sciences
Judging Criteria:
- Creativity and innovation
- Scientific methodology
- Quality, clarity, and organization of presentations and reports
- Project significance and impact on society
- Teamwork and collaboration

The exhibition will be held in June. There is no fixed application deadline, so please follow the official page for updates and the exact exhibition dates.
Benefits

Eligibility criteria
The initiative is open to all students in Jordan from public, private, military, and UN agency schools for the year 2026.
- Participants must be 12–17 years old.
- It is preferred that participants in the 2026 initiative work in a project team of up to 5 students from the same school.
- Individual applications are allowed, but the initiative encourages teamwork.
- Project ideas must be in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM).
- Projects must be original and new, not copied or reproduced.
