Lucie Photo Book Prize – Photographic Books Field

Lucie Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable foundation dedicated to honoring master photographers, discovering and nurturing emerging talent, and promoting the appreciation of photography worldwide, through distinguished programs such as the annual Lucie Awards, as well as various grants and competitions.

The Lucie Photo Book Prize is a juried competition open internationally, accepting a wide range of photographic books — whether commercially published, prototypes, or handmade books, including zines, limited editions, and more.

The submission deadline for the 2025 edition is August 22, 2025.

• Traditional Prize: Cash award of USD 3,000, granted to a photographer who has commercially produced and distributed a photo book.
• Independent Prize: Cash award of USD 2,000, granted to a photographer who has published the book independently in a non-traditional way.
• Group exhibition featuring winners and finalists at a gallery in New York City (Picto) during the fall.

• Open to photographers, editors, curators, or publishers.
• Eligible works include: exhibition books, proposals, self-published editions, limited editions, multi-artist books, single-author books, intersectional projects, zines, reissues, and more.
