Opportunity description
The Max Weber Program is part of the Elite Network of Bavaria and is administered by the German Academic Scholarship Foundation (Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes). Its goal is to support outstanding students at Bavarian universities through a mix of financial aid, personal development opportunities, and networking with other high-achieving students.
The scholarship is awarded to students enrolled in universities in Bavaria, Germany, who demonstrate academic excellence as well as social and personal strengths. It is available from at least the third semester of study and values both community engagement and communication skills. The support includes financial assistance during studies, funding for stays abroad or research projects, and access to personal and professional development programs.
Application Deadline
Direct application period: July 1 – November 1 for the following academic year.
Additional signed forms may be required by January 15 in some cases.
Selection seminars (interviews) are usually held between March and May at different locations in Bavaria.

Eligibility criteria
Must be enrolled at a higher education institution in Bavaria.
Must have completed at least two semesters of study.
Must have at least two semesters remaining within the standard study period.
Must be under 23 years of age at the time of joining the program (with possible exceptions).
Must demonstrate strong academic performance, communication skills, social engagement, and a sense of responsibility.
