Opportunity description
UNV offers a volunteer opportunity in Lebanon and announces its need for a monitoring, evaluation, and reporting officer, to start his work on 01/08/2023 for a period of 12 months with the possibility of an extension. The position holder under the overall guidance and direct supervision of the Peace Building Project Manager & Advisor will be responsible for the reporting, monitoring, and evaluation of the project’s activities. As well as, the collection & analysis of different data in relation to the project activities.
Duties & responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- Update the existing monitoring and evaluation system for the Peace Building Project (including the Dealing with the Past project’s activities):
- Review existing baselines, plans, and indicators.
- Update where necessary.
- Review existing indicators and means of verification and update where necessary.
- Follow up on the system for monitoring and reporting.
- Collect data and information on project’s activities and feed them into the monitoring system (KOBO and others) and generate charts when need be.
- Support the project team in submitting high-quality reports:
- Review the existing reporting system.
- Review means of data collection.
- Draft reports for donors and UNDP.
- Provide inputs, information, and statistics for quarterly, annual, and other reports and presentations (internal and external) to Project Management Team and UNDP.
- Perform other duties as required.
Eligibility criteria
You must have:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Development Studies, International Relations, Social Studies, or related fields.
- 3 years of experience in reporting, monitoring, and evaluation or other relevant programs.
- Experience with needs/impact assessment methods and analysis data using statistical software and KOBO.
- Experience working on multi-donor-funded projects.
- Excellent oral and written skills and excellent drafting, formulation reporting skills.
- Accuracy and professionalism in document production and editing.
- Ability to work and adapt professionally and effectively in a challenging environment.
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural team of international and national personnel.
- Solid overall computer literacy, including proficiency in various MS Office applications (Excel, Word, etc.) and email/internet.
- Self-motivated, and able to work with minimum supervision.
- Adaptability and flexibility and respect for diversity.
- Planning and organizing and teamwork skills.
