Opportunity description
FilmFreeway announces its Moroccan International Short Film Festival and Competition. The festival welcomes Moroccan and international short films in the following categories: fiction, documentary, animation, web, and new media. This festival is open to graduate students and independent filmmakers. The program includes many seminars and workshops on various topics in the field of film in cooperation with local and international partners.
Benefits
The festival will offer the following different prizes:
- For the international awards:
- Best International Short Novel.
- Best International Documentary Short Film.
- Best International Animated Short Film.
- The best new global media.
- For the national competition:
- Best Moroccan Independent Short Film.
- The best Moroccan short film.
- Audience Vote Award.
Eligibility criteria
- Entries must be original works of the entrants.
- MSIFF provides logistical support to selected international film directors who wish to travel to Rabat, Morocco, to participate in festival screenings and activities.
- The application fee is not refundable under any circumstances; MSIFF will not reimburse any submission fees for films that have not been selected for the Festival program, or that have withdrawn at any time.
- MSIFF reserves the right to accept or reject any film for any reason without any explanation.
- All participating films must have appropriate subtitles in French or English.
- The International Moroccan Short Film Festival (MSIFF) is entitled to:
- Use selected films for advertising.
- Show winning films in other relevant events within Morocco, and recommend winning films to other international film festivals that cooperate with MSIFF after approval by filmmakers.
