Opportunity description
UPWARD Gallery announces its online art competition under the title “Winter Artist” for artists from various artistic fields who are over 18 years old.
Benefits
- Winners will be interviewed by UPWARD Gallery editors for publication in UPWARD's Quarterly print edition and on the website in the Interviews section.
- All participants will receive digital certificates based on the results of the competition.
- The best-participating works will receive digital certificates and awards of appreciation and honor.
- First, second, and third place and honorable mention entries will be announced in the quarterly print edition of UPWARD's Quarterly magazine, as well as in curated galleries on the site in the Discover section.
- Participating works will be promoted via social media.
- The first, second, and third-place winners will be able to participate for free with two artworks in the upcoming competition.
Eligibility criteria
- You must be over 18 years old.
- You can present your work in any medium, style, or genre you see appropriate.
- Acceptable media include all traditional art media (e.g., oil, watercolor, acrylic, pastel, mixed media, pen and ink; drawing mediums such as graphite, charcoal, colored pencils, markers), digital drawing, and arts and crafts (beading, pottery, Embroidery, floral, batik, stained glass, 2D collage and textile art, etc.).
- No profanity or political artwork is allowed.
- Each participant will have their page in the UPWARD Gallery. This page will display the works submitted by the artist to participate in the competition, a short text about his biography, links to the artist’s website, in addition to links to his social media accounts, and an interview with him.
- The costs of participating in this competition are:
- $12 per entry which became $6 for the Christmas discount.
- Participating age groups are divided into:
- Artists between the ages of 18 and 21.
- Artists over 22 years old.
