Online Art Competition for Dreams at UPWARD Gallery

UPWARD Gallery is presenting an online art competition to highlight dreams artistically. Dreams in the Arts is an exploration of the murky frontier between the visible and the invisible, touching on the religious and psychological aspects of consciousness. You will have the opportunity to capture and share these mysterious and puzzling images with viewers, revealing their inner world.

• The first-place winners (1st, 2nd, 3rd, and special prize) will be interviewed by the UPWARD Gallery editors for publication in the UPWARD quarterly print edition, on the website in the Interviews section, and in the exhibitions on the website in the Discover section. The authors of these works will also be promoted via social media (Instagram).
• All participants will receive digital certificates based on the results of the competition. The most distinguished works will be awarded digital certificates and honorary and appreciation awards.
• The winners of the competition (first place, second place, third place) will be able to participate for free with two artworks in the next competition.

• Competition entry categories:
• Artists between the ages of 18 and 21.
• Artists over 22 years old.
• The cost of participating in the competition is:
• $12 if you participate with only one entry.
• $10 if you participate with two to four works.
• $9 if you participate with 5 or more works.
• $6 for artists under the age of 22.
• Winners will be announced on the 8th of June 2023.
• Acceptable media to participate in this competition:
• Graphic arts.
• Digital paintings.
• Craft/Mixed Media.
• Acceptable media also includes all traditional art media (eg, oil works, watercolors, acrylics, pastels, ink works; drawings in graphite, charcoal, colored pencils, markers), digital painting, and arts and crafts (beading, pottery, embroidery, florals, stained glass, two-dimensional collages, textured artwork, etc.).
• Each participant in the competition will have a special page (solo exhibition) in the UPWARD exhibition, this page will display the works submitted by the artist for participation in the competition, a short biographical text, a link to the artist's website, as well as links to his accounts on social media, and an interview with him.
• Participants must be at least 18 years old.
• You can participate with any number of entries you wish.
