An Online Art Competition for Flowers from the UPWARD Gallery

The UPWARD gallery offers an online art competition for flowers. All artists 18 and older are encouraged to submit their work in any medium, style, and genre. Acceptable mediums include all traditional art media (e.g., oil, watercolor, acrylic, pastel, mixed media, pen, and ink; drawing media such as graphite, charcoal, colored pencils, scratchboard, markers, metal point), digital painting, arts and crafts (beadwork, pottery, embroidery, floristry, batik, stained glass, two-dimensional collage and fabric art as well, etc.). No profanity or political artwork is acceptable at this competition. Each participant in the competition receives his personal page (solo exhibition) on the UPWARD gallery. This page displays works that the artist submitted for participation in competitions, short biography text and artist statement, links to the artist's website, as well as links to social media accounts.

• The winners of the 1st place are interviewed by the UPWARD Gallery editors for publication in the quarterly printed edition of UPWARD’s Quarterly and on the site in the section interviews. 
• All entrants will receive digital certificates based on the results of the competition as well as the winners for 1st place, 2nd place, and 3rd place.
• Also, the most deserving works will be marked with digital certificates, Merit Awards, and Honorable Mention Awards.
• The authors of these works will receive Social Media Promotion (Instagram). The winners of the competition (1st place, 2nd place, 3rd place) will be able to take part for free with two artworks in the next competitions.

• The fee for entry is $12, $10 for 2-4 entries, and $9 for 5 or more entries. The fee for artists under 22 is $6 for entry.
• Category for artists:
• The first category is for ages 18-21.
• The second category is for ages 22+.

• Fine art
• Graphic arts
• Digital painting
• Crafts / Mixed Media
• Entrants must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• All works must be original. “Original” means that the work must be from the hand of a single artist; pieces that originate from a workshop or a class under the direction of a teacher are eligible too. For works based on reference photographs, eligibility requires that the artist must have taken the photographs or have obtained written permission from the photographer to create the work and enter it into the competition.
