UPWARD Foundation announces an online portrait art competition.
Benefits
- Winners will be interviewed by UPWARD Gallery editors for publication in UPWARD's Quarterly print edition and on the website in the Interviews section.
- All participants will receive electronic certificates based on their competition results.
- First, second, and third place winners will receive digital certificates.
- The most deserving entries will receive digital certificates and awards.
- Selected entries (first, second, third, and merit awards) will be featured in the quarterly print issue of UPWARD magazine, as well as in curated exhibitions on the website in the "Discover" section. Their works will also be promoted on social media.
Eligibility criteria
- All artists aged 18 and over are eligible to enter this competition.
- Eligible media include all traditional art media (such as oil, watercolor, acrylic, pastel, mixed media, and ink; and drawing media such as graphite, charcoal, colored pencils, and markers), digital painting, and arts and crafts (beading, pottery, embroidery, flowers, batik, stained glass, 2D collage, and fabric art).
- Works containing profanity are not eligible for this competition.
- Political artwork is not eligible for this competition.
- The entry fee for this competition is:
- $15 for a single entry.
- $12 for two to four entries.
- $10 for five or more entries.
- Age groups eligible to enter:
- Age 1 for artists aged 18 to 21.
- The second age category is for artists over the age of 22.
