Duties & responsibilities
- Translation Group (8 volunteers):
- Translate written content from Arabic to English and vice versa.
- Proofreading Group (2 volunteers):
- Editing and refining translated materials to ensure clarity and fluency.
- Ensuring the use of gender-sensitive and context-appropriate terminology.
- Maintaining accuracy, consistency, and compliance with UN Women's editorial standards.
Eligibility criteria
You must have:
- Previous experience in translation and editing, preferably in a development or UN context.
- Strong attention to detail and nuance, particularly with regard to gender-related terminology.
- Ability to meet deadlines and respond to feedback.
- Fluency in Arabic.
- Fluency in English.
