Opportunity description
The United Nations Volunteers Program is offering an online volunteer opportunity to translate the NBSAP Forum from English into Spanish. The NBSAP Forum is a global partnership that aims to support countries in implementing the United Nations Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) and its strategic plans, which also include global biodiversity targets; To achieve this, the various Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity are required to develop and implement National Biodiversity Strategies and Action Plans (NBSAPs), integrate them into plans, programs, and policies of relevant sectors, and submit national reports on the effectiveness of measures taken to implement NBSAPs. The Forum portal aims to support countries in finding the information they need to develop and implement effective national biodiversity strategies and action plans and prepare national reports.
