The United Nations Volunteers Program offers an online volunteer opportunity to plan volunteer projects in the areas of health and medical services and the participation of persons with disabilities.
Duties & responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- Planning volunteer projects and cooperation in the field of health and medical services and the participation of people with disabilities both in China and the world.
- Gather information from websites/social media/reports/news etc. and then prepare a report to analyze the current situation.
- This report will serve as an essential document for outreach to the United Nations Volunteers Program in China and the partnership with UN agencies and Chinese partners in the health, medical, and people with disabilities fields. The report will include the following points:
- UNV's current collaboration in the areas of health, medical services, and persons with disabilities worldwide with UN agencies (eg WHO, UNAIDS, UNESCO, UNFPA, and UNICEF).
- Existing cooperation of the United Nations Volunteers Program in the areas of health, medical services, and persons with disabilities all over the world with Member States.
- Voluntary projects in the fields of health, medical services, and people with disabilities in China (policies, authorities, and projects).
Eligibility criteria
You must have:
- Research and data collection skills.
- Preferably experience in public health research.
- Master's degree in public health, public administration, international relations, or other related fields.
- Candidates who are persons with disabilities must indicate their type of disability when applying.
- Working knowledge of Chinese and English.
