Opportunity description
The United Nations Volunteers program announces an online volunteer opportunity in the field of translation and subtitling for the “Voices of Impact” podcast, which aims to inspire individuals, communities and stakeholders to actively contribute to positive social change and sustainable development.
Duties & responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- Translating into Arabic the UNIC’s “Voices of Impact” podcast.
- Ensuring that translations are consistent with the spoken content, while maintaining the intended tone and message of the content.
- Translating the communications materials associated with the podcast from English to Arabic.
- Selected online volunteers will be provided with the original language document and will receive guidance on the target audience and program communications guidelines as well as any other guidance as needed.
Eligibility criteria
You must have:
- 2-3 years of experience in translation from English to Arabic.
- Familiarity with different translation programs is preferred.
- Attention to detail: Ability to produce high-quality translations that accurately reflect the original content.
- Fluency in Arabic and English.
