Opportunity description
The United Nations Volunteers program offers an online volunteer opportunity to design publications for the World Health Organization office in Qatar.
Duties & responsibilities
- The program is looking for three online volunteers to support program activities under the guidance of the Senior Administrative Assistant and in close collaboration with the Communications team by producing approximately 30 graphic designs for documents/materials/etc.
- Each online volunteer will be asked to:
- Gather background information on required documents/materials such as target audience, design style, brand guidelines, etc.
- Create a draft design based on the requirements and discuss it with the point of contact/communications team.
- Develop designs according to agreed requirements.
- The design/layout must follow the company's design guidelines which will be shared with volunteers online in advance.
- Online volunteers will have the opportunity to build relationships with the communications team at the WHO Regional Office for the Eastern Mediterranean and learn about ways graphic design can support WHO's role.
Eligibility criteria
You must have:
- Professional experience in graphic design with previous experience in document layout design.
- Strong knowledge of graphic design applications, as well as oral and written communication skills.
- Degree in graphic design or any related field.
- Working knowledge of English.
- Practical knowledge of the Arabic language.
