Opportunity description
UNV offers an online volunteering opportunity to train UNDP transitional justice specialists, by preparing training materials and conducting at least two online social media content creation training sessions for civil society organizations working on transitional justice in South Sudan. You will also assist selected CSOs in developing social media information content that will be used to communicate their work; Informing victims and survivors about transitional justice mechanisms as well as ensuring maximum engagement on social media on relevant issues.
Duties & responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- Conducting two training courses on social media management and content creation for civil society organizations working in the field of transitional justice in South Sudan.
- Create two to three posts per week on social media platforms for civil society organizations.
- Mentoring volunteers for the UNDP Transitional Justice Project in South Sudan (2 HRS) (UNDP Transitional Justice Specialist).
- Analysis of the work context in South Sudan (civil society organizations in South Sudan).
- Obtaining information about the experiences of online volunteers and how they can contribute to the task through those experiences.
- Preparing a training course on CSOS social media platforms for online volunteers.
- Edit photos, videos and audio clips.
- Create and design banners, logos and branding.
- Analyze posts and audience reactions on social media.
- Review the work completed.
- Evaluating individual volunteers online.
Eligibility criteria
You must have:
- Strong communication skills.
- Creative writing skills.
- Website and social media writing skills.
- Design, content creation and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Fluency in English.
- It is preferable to have a working knowledge of the Arabic language.
