Opportunity description
The United Nations Volunteers Program offers an online volunteering opportunity to support the reporting process of the various meetings and events of the program. UNDP provides support to decentralized processes in Libya through many different projects and activities in order to facilitate local service delivery. The local government project team will actively collaborate with partners at all levels to coordinate efforts, avoid duplication and ensure integration in all activities. Online volunteers will share their time and expertise on a voluntary basis and will not receive any financial compensation. Contributing to sustainable human development, developing knowledge and skills, and working in a multicultural environment are among the many benefits of volunteering online. Once the volunteer successfully completes this opportunity, the volunteer will receive an electronic certificate of appreciation.
Duties & responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- Attending meetings and preparing their summaries.
- Drafting key points and excerpts from meetings.
- Note: Selected online volunteers will receive mentoring and support throughout their volunteering period.
Eligibility criteria
You must have:
- Experience in preparing reports on various meetings and events.
- Excellent oral and written skills.
- Excellent drafting and reporting skills.
- Accuracy and professionalism in document production.
- Preferably have familiarity with technical terminology related to the Sustainable Development Goals, the United Nations, and the international development context.
- Fluency in English.
- Fluency in Arabic.
