United Nations Volunteers programme is offering a volunteer opportunity: Geographical Data Annotation for illegal dumpsites.
Duration:
2 weeks / 11 - 15 hours
Duties & responsibilities
- The online volunteers will assist SDG AI LAB in data annotation for illegal dumpsites.
- The online volunteers are expected to annotate and validate up to several hundred locations of illegal dumpsites in Guatemala.
- This will be done using QGIS and freely available google maps base layers.
Eligibility criteria
Required experience:
- Bachelor’s (or higher) in Computer Science, Environmental Engineering, Geomatics, Geography, Statistics, or related field with strong interest in Remote Sensing and satellite image interpretation
- Experience in working with geodata.
Languages:
- English, Level: Basic, Desirable
