Opportunity description
UNV offers an online volunteer opportunity for 12 weeks and announces its need for a volunteer with expert IT skills who can support open-source digital product development.
Duties & responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- Map different open source solutions that can be used for UNDP's 'model governance framework for digital legal identity' initiative to enable interactive communication with users to further improve the framework by allowing users to comment on the framework.
- Advise the team on the best open-source solution and provide a development plan with a timeline.
- Develop an interactive communication platform and integrate into the website: https://www.governance4id.org/.
Eligibility criteria
You must have:
- At least 5 years of experience in developing software solutions based on open-source technology.
- Experience in developing a public consultation platform.
- Understanding of the UN system.
- Experiences in working for the UN organizations.
- Fluent in the English language.
- Ability to work 16-20 hours per week.
