The Patricia Eschen Prize for Poetry
The Morrab Library in Penzance has partnered with The Dennis Myner Trust to host The Patricia Eschen Prize for Poetry 2026. The international poetry competition will be judged by Cornwall-based poet Katrina Naomi.
Theme: The competition does not have a theme and entries may be written in any form or style
Length: Up to 40 lines
Eligibility: Original and not previously published.
Entry fee: £5 (one entry per person)
Prizes:
First prize: £2026 for first prize
Second prize: £1000
Third prize: £500
“Sonnet Prize” for the best poem written in this form: £1500
