Opportunity description
The University of Surrey in the UK is offering three-year research doctoral scholarships in writing, world literature, environmental humanities, Sexualities, or contemporary creative writing. Applications from candidates with expertise in questions of race, decolonization, and/or global or comparative approaches, are especially welcome. Successful candidates may work with one of these groups depending on the nature of the project.
Benefits
Tuition fees will be fully covered. An annual stipend pegged to the UKRI studentship rate (£15,609 for 2021/22) per year, and an annual research training support grant of £500.
Eligibility criteria
- This studentship is for the UK and international students.
- Applicants are expected to hold a good first degree (a minimum 2:1 or equivalent) and an MA in a relevant topic.
- IELTS test (test not older than 2 years): 7.0 or above (or equivalent) with at least 6.5 in each component, or equivalent.
