Opportunity description
FMoPA has put out a call for photographers to participate in a photography competition. Winners are selected by a jury knowledgeable of art and photography. For each category, three winners will be selected. An overall winner will be selected from all submitted photographs.
Categories of the Competition:
- Places/Landscape/Drone
- People/Portraits
- Nature/Science/Animals
- Documentation/Photojournalism
- Still Life
- Abstract Photography
- Conceptual Photography
Benefits
If you win in the competition, you will get one of the following prizes:
Best in Competition:
- $1,000 cash (as selected by the judges).
- Consideration for a public art exhibition on the billboard.
- Group exhibition at FMoPA.
- Solo exhibition at FMoPA.
Best in Category:
First Prize:
- $100 value in goods and services (as selected by the judges).
- Consideration for a public art exhibition on the billboard.
- Group exhibition at FMoPA.
Second Prize:
- Consideration for a public art exhibition on a billboard.
- Group exhibition at FMoPA.
Third Prize:
- Consideration for a public art exhibition on billboards.
- Group exhibition at FMoPA.
Eligibility criteria
You must follow these criteria:
- By submitting an entry, you agree to the rules of the contest and states that you are 18 years old or older.
- You can submit 1 to 3 images per submission
- The file type must be JPG and at least 3000px on the long edge
- Descriptions of the image must contain Image location, description, title, Image date (year)
- You retain your rights to your photograph; however, by entering the contest, you grant the FMOPA a royalty-free, worldwide, perpetual, non-exclusive license to publicly display, distribute, reproduce and create derivative works of the entries, in whole or in part, in any media now existing or later developed, for any purpose.
- Winning submissions are granted permission for full use by FMoPA including the sale of the work, use of the work for promotional purposes, and/or use of the work for marketing.
Selection Process:
Your Images will be judged based on:
- Originality
- Technical excellence
- Composition.
- Overall impact.
- Artistic merit, and as otherwise determined by the judges.
Please note: Winning submissions will be notified on 5 June 2021.

Alfred Hermann Fried was born November 11, 1864, in Vienna, Austria—died May 5, 1921, in Vienna. He was one of most active the pacifists and a rejection of violence and wars and was a co-founder of the German peace movement. He was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1911 in recognition of his efforts in advocating peace.
