Photography Competition and a Chance to Win Awards OVER $70,000 from Head On

Head On is pleased to announce a photography competition; Head On Photo Awards 2022 which is open Internationally to photographers of all levels. The Head On Photo Awards winners will share a massive prize pool, previously reaching $70,000, including $30,500 cash and 100 finalists will have their work exhibited in Head On Photo Festival 2022. The Head On Photo Award puts your photos on the world stage.

If you are among the winners, you will have:

• For portrait
• 1st place winners:
• $15,000 cash.
• Prize package valued at $7,165 including Sony A7 IV with 85mm f/1.4 GM Lens.
• For International and Australian runners up:
• Each runner-up receives a prize package valued at $2,366 including Sony RX100 VII compact camera.
• For landscape
• 1st place winners:
• $15,000 cash.
• Prize package valued at $5,265 including Olympus OM-1 with 8-25mm F4.0 PRO lens.
• For International and Australian runners up:
• Each runner-up receives a prize package valued at $1,666 including Olympus OM-D E-M10 Mark IV + 14-42mm Lens.
• 100 finalists will have their work exhibited in Head On Photo Festival 2022.

You must follow the following criteria:

• The competition (Portrait and Landscape) is open to applicants residing anywhere in the world.
• Images must be produced by a photographic device (including mobile devices), in color and/or black & white. 
• There is no time restriction on when an image was made.
• Image specs: resized to 2400px on the long edge, saved as jpg and less than 2MB. 
• There is no limit on how many images or times you can enter. 
• You may submit images to the Head On Photo Awards that were accepted into the Head On Photo Festival as part of an exhibition submission or accepted into other competitions.
•  By entering the Head On Photo Awards, you confirm that you are the Creator and owner of the work and that you have the permission of the subject or, from a parent or guardian.
• HEAD ON Portrait Award:
• The image must feature or reflect the essence of a person or group of people.
• Group portraits, self-portraits, and collages will be accepted.
• The judges will be looking for portraits of high technical quality which demonstrate a high level of engagement with the subject/s and invoke a high level of engagement with the viewer.
• HEAD ON Landscape Award:
• Head On’s approach to ‘Landscape’ is very broad and encompasses ‘large vista’ images of the natural environment (land or sea), urban or industrial settings.
• AUD$30 (US$21/€20) entry fee per image.
• Annual Head On members receive $5 discount on each image entered.
