Funded Postdoc Fellowship Opportunity in the Field of Engineering at Chalmers University of Technology

The Chalmers University of Technology offers a fellowship; Postdoc in engineering education research. It is a call for a postdoctoral position focused on teaching and learning in interdisciplinary, and flexible education in engineering and architecture. You must have:

1. A Ph.D. degree, obtained after 2018-12-31, in a field that is relevant to the research project described in your proposal (e.g. Engineering, Architecture, Education Science, Education Studies, Educational Psychology).
2. Knowledge of and experience in applying quantitative and/or qualitative research methods. 
3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
4. A strong publication record in highly ranked journals/conferences relevant to the field of research.
5. It is meritorious if you have a higher education teaching diploma/equivalent. Additional qualifications include:

• Participation in international research networks within the research area.
• Teamwork skills to work successfully with colleagues and external partners.
• Experience working with students and/or teachers.
• Success in attracting external funding.

Please note:

• Full-time temporary employment.
• The position is limited to a maximum of two years (1+1).
• The earliest starting date is 1 November 2021. 

Responsibilities:

As a postdoctoral scholar you are expected to be:

• A highly active member of the engineering education research group.
• Collaboration with colleagues to seek external funding for research to enable the establishment of a future research platform involving your own as well as other's research.
• Depending on your research experience:
• You will supervise masters’ students (comprising < 10% of your time).
• Be involved in some minor teaching engagements (< 5% of your time).
