Competition for Brands & Communication Design and a Chance Win Valuable Prizes

Red Dot invites international agencies, designers and companies have been invited to take part in the Red Dot Award: Brands & Communication Design. It gives brands a bigger platform in the competition for communication design. You will have the chance to get the Red Dot, a seal of quality for good design, and your projects will be presented to a wide audience through international exhibitions.The competition breaks down into the following two sections:

• Brands.
• Communication design projects.

If you are among the winners, you will have:

• Global visibility and awareness of your project and your brand across different sectors.
• Media support.
• Content for marketing and corporate communications.
• Access to an international community of designers, producers and potential customers.
• Global perception as an attractive employer.
• Presentation in the yearbook, in international exhibitions.
• Award ceremony:
• Red Dot Gala & Designers’ Night
• On 28 October 2022, the winners will be celebrated in Berlin as part of the Red Dot Gala and the Designers’ Night.
• Red Dot Celebration
• The winners’ success will be celebrated also online – on the Red Dot website and all other Red Dot channels.
• Honouring the Red Dot: Agency of Year
• The title of honour “Red Dot: Agency of the Year” is awarded annually to an agency that has won over the jurors for the Red Dot Award with its outstanding design quality. 
• Red Dot: Junior Prize to the project that stands out most in the Red Dot
• The winner of the Red Dot: Junior Prize is also announced during the Red Dot Gala. The distinction comes with prize money of 10,000 euros.
• Red Dot Trophy and Certificates for winners of the distinctions
• Red Dot: Best of the Best
• Red Dot: Brand of the Year
• Red Dot: Grand Prix

You should follow the following criteria:

• The “Brands” section:
• Focus on brands and industry label for maximum visibility. 
• Companies in Manufacturers as well as service companies can submit their integrated brand presence for evaluation. 
• Brand concepts designed exclusively for the Red Dot Award are not permitted. 
• The “Communication Design” section:
• Focus on projects and campaigns.
• Distinctions for good design and creativity.
• Open to works that were published after 1 July 2019 or will be published before 1 July 2022.
• Designers, agencies and companies can choose from 18 communication design categories in which to enter their completed projects and campaigns.
• You can enter a project in several categories at the same time. 
• However, please note that a separate registration process must be completed for each entry.
• Each entry stands alone and requires its own presentation material.
• Works that were not already entered in the Red Dot Award in the past.
• All details for registering a project must be provided in English.
• Registration must take place online.
• Entry fees depend on what phase the registration process is completed in.
• By completing the registration process, you accept the general terms and conditions.

Your entries are inspected individually and assessed in terms of its:

• Idea
• Form
• Impact
