The Saïd Foundation is a non-profit educational organization dedicated to supporting outstanding students from the Middle East, particularly from Syria, Jordan, Lebanon, and Palestine, enabling them to pursue postgraduate studies in the United Kingdom and contribute positively to the development of their home communities upon their return.
The Saïd Foundation Scholarship offers an exceptional opportunity for students from the eligible countries to obtain a master’s degree at universities in the UK. The scholarship is aimed at individuals with strong leadership potential and a clear commitment to community service, covering full tuition fees and living expenses for selected candidates.
Available Programs and Fields of Study:
The scholarship is open to all master’s degree programs offered by partner universities of the Saïd Foundation. Applications to non-partner universities may also be considered if justified. There are no specific restrictions on fields of study, but applicants are encouraged to choose subjects aligned with a clear, impactful career plan in their home country.
Application Timeline:
Applications open: Friday, 1 August 2025
Applications close: Friday, 31 October 2025
Deadline to upload proof of university offers: 30 January 2026
Please note: Incomplete or late applications will not be considered.
English Language Requirements:
IELTS Academic: Overall score of at least 6.0, with no band less than 6.0
Duolingo English Test: Minimum score of 105 in each section
TOEFL iBT: Minimum total score of 80, with at least 20 in each band
Only test certificates dated after 1 October 2024 will be accepted. A valid certificate must be uploaded at the time of application—late submissions will not be accepted.

All documents must be uploaded at the time of application:
High school certificate
University transcripts and graduation certificate (or all available transcripts for current final-year students)
Valid passport or national ID (from one of the eligible countries)
English language test certificate (IELTS/Duolingo/TOEFL)
University offer letters or proof of application for UK master’s programs
Three reference letters (one academic, one professional, one voluntary)
A current CV (no more than 2 pages, without a photo)
Important Notes on Reference Letters:
You must submit three different letters from three different referees
Letters must be in English, signed, and preferably on official letterhead
References must be uploaded before the deadline; late submissions are not accepted
The references should include:
One academic referee (e.g. a university professor)
One professional referee (e.g. a current or recent employer)
One voluntary/extracurricular referee (e.g. someone familiar with your community work)

Eligibility criteria
Must hold Syrian, Jordanian, Lebanese, or Palestinian nationality and reside permanently in one of these countries
Syrians residing abroad due to the conflict are also eligible
Hold a bachelor’s degree with a UK 2:1 equivalent or be in the final year of undergraduate study
Have relevant professional or voluntary experience
Show a clear career plan to return and contribute to their home country
Demonstrate leadership potential
Have applied to a UK university for a master’s program
