Opportunity description
The German Research Foundation (DFG) 2026 Research Visits Programme offers a fully funded opportunity for postdoctoral researchers from Middle East and North Africa (MENA) countries to undertake a 3-month scientific visit in Germany and establish international research collaboration. The aim is to initiate research partnerships with German scientists to support development and innovation and to develop long-term joint research projects.
Financial Benefits and Coverage
DFG will cover travel expenses and provide subsistence costs for the duration of the three-month visit.
Eligibility Requirements
- The applicant must have obtained their PhD not earlier than 2021; certain allowances are available for women with children.
- Must be employed at an institution in a MENA or sub-Saharan African country.
Available Fields of Study
All academic disciplines are eligible for participation.
