The Pollination Project offers small daily grants to support individuals, groups, and nonprofit initiatives around the world, with the aim of funding volunteer-led community ideas and projects that seek to create a positive impact in society.

The foundation supports initiatives in areas such as social justice, education, environment, health, empowerment of women and girls, human rights, animal protection, community development, and community arts.

The foundation provides 365 grants annually through its daily grants program.

Eligibility criteria

  1. The project must have a community or charitable purpose and must not be for personal benefit.
  2. Individuals, informal groups, and emerging nonprofit organizations may apply.
  3. The project must be volunteer-based.
  4. The total project budget must be less than USD 10,000.
  5. Applicants may request funding of up to USD 500 only.
  6. If the applicant is an organization, its annual budget must not exceed USD 50,000.
  7. The organization must not have paid staff, although limited professional services, such as accounting or website design, may sometimes be allowed.
  8. The applicant must be able to receive the grant in USD through bank transfer or PayPal.

Required Documents

  1. Information about the applicant, group, or organization.
  2. A clear description of the community project.
  3. Project budget, which must be less than USD 10,000.
  4. The amount of funding requested from the foundation, up to a maximum of USD 500.
  5. Explanation of the expected impact of the project.
  6. Information about the target community and the applicant’s relationship with it.
  7. A reference/recommendation for international applicants, as international applications are considered complete only after the required reference has been submitted.
