UNV is looking for one online volunteer who under the guidance of the UNDP Egypt Communication Analyst and in close collaboration with the communications team supports it by creating compelling social media content for UNDP Egypt focus areas and projects. This volunteer will last for 4 weeks through which you will have the opportunity to build connections with the communication team and learn about the ways in which digital communication can support sustainable development.
Duties & responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- Collect information on document/material background such as target audience, branding guidelines, key messages, etc.
- Create draft social media content based on requirements and discuss with the focal point/ communications team.
- Develop content according to agreed requirements.
- Content should follow the key messages and guidelines which will be shared with you online in advance.

Eligibility criteria
You must have:
- Advanced degree in Social Science, Journalism, Communications, Digital Communications, Public Relations, International Development, or a related field.
- At least 6 years of experience in journalism, communications, or a related field.
- Solid experience in the areas of marketing, journalism, digital communication, management, and planning.
- Previous editing and proofreading experience.
- Fluency in English.
- Excellent writing, editorial, and presentation skills.
- Familiarity with technical terms related to the SDGs and the UN system will be considered an advantage.
