UNV offers an online volunteer opportunityto work in the support translation on the website for 5 weeks. It is looking for 1 skilled English-to-Russian online interpreter volunteer to assist its team in reviewing the translation of its website into Russian. Volunteers will be recognized and acknowledged for their efforts.
Duties & responsibilities
You will be tasked with the following:
- Review the website translation for errors.
- Ensure consistency of style.
- Ensure that the notes adhere to the United Nations language and style guidelines.
- Ensure that endnotes, references, and headings are standardized. Ensure that figures, tables, graphs, and boxes, where used, are standardized and accurate in terms of numbering and flow.
- Consult regularly with DPIDG officers responsible for the coordination of the notes for clarification if needed.
Eligibility criteria
You should have:
- Russian language native-level fluency.
- Ability to work 11 - 15 hours per week.
- Availability to work for 5 weeks.
