Workshop for Startups with Techstars in the USA

Techstars is calling entrepreneurs and startup owners for a workshop that runs from June 2022 through September 2022; Techstars Chicago Accelerator. It is one of the mentorship-driven accelerator programs that provide in-depth foundational content that prepares you to run your startup, plus strong mentoring relationships with experts in your industry and in all aspects of entrepreneurship. This will also give you the opportunity to participate in Office Hours - a one-on-one session with a Techstars team member, as well as, a grant for funding to build your startup and become one of the thousands of successful companies, all over the world. 

If your startup is among the selected ones, you will have the chance to:

• Access to Techstars resources for life.
• Acceleration in a 90-day Techstars mentorship-driven accelerator program with personal mentorship and office space.
• Lifetime access to the Techstars worldwide network of entrepreneurs.
• Upon acceptance to a Techstars Accelerator, every company is offered a $100,000 convertible note. 
• Techstars contributes $20,000, which is commonly used as a stipend to support living expenses during the program, and in return receives 6% common stock from each company.

You should follow the following terms:

• For great founders who are proposing products that solve real problems or create meaningful innovations.
• It doesn’t matter what kind of stage you’re at — as long as you’re ready to accelerate your company.
• Techstars fully expect the companies to be present and engaged for the majority of the 90-day program.
• The funding is available for all types of startups, working in all verticals, using any type of business model.
• You should:
• Round out your team with business, technical, and other necessary skills.
• Make progress on your prototype or product and reference it in the application.
• Show that you’ve really thought about your business and have gotten out there to do something about it.
• Show how your product or prototype works in 1-minute video or less.

Please note:

• The final group of companies will be notified of being accepted within eight weeks from the application closing date.
• Once you are accepted into a program, you can get help with legal/immigration issues by leveraging the contacts and network to help.

Timeline:

• Applications Open: Jan 20th, 2022.
• Final Deadline: Mar 23rd, 2022.
• Accelerator Starts: Jun 6th, 2022.
• Demo Day: Sep 1st, 2022.

The selection of your startup will be based on the following criteria:

• Team.
• Market.
• Traction.
• Idea.
