Opportunity description
The Bedford Competition announces its competition for authors with the chance to win £1000. Anyone 17 years or over can submit stories up to 3000 words and poems up to 40 lines and participate in this competition.
Benefits
- The winner of the 1st Prize will receive £1000.
- The winner of the 2nd Prize will receive £200.
- The winner of the 3rd Prize will receive £100.
Eligibility criteria
- This competition is open to everybody aged 17 or over, with prizes totaling £3000 including special awards for young writers and Bedford writers.
- All winning and shortlisted entries are published by the partners, Ostrich Books.
- The short story competition is for stories up to 3,000 words. The poetry competition is for poems up to 40 lines.
