Henshaw Press is pleased to announce the edition of this year's competition in December which has been launched with a title; The Henshaw Short Story Competition. This is your chance to share your best story which could be packed with tales of intriguing secrets, astonishing lies, and difficult questions.

- 3rd Prize £50
- Winning entrants will be offered the opportunity to have their stories included in a Henshaw anthology.

Eligibility criteria
You should follow the following terms:
- Entries must be a fictional short story of up to 2000 words on any theme.
- Entries must be on A4, double spaced and page numbered with the title on each page.
- All entries must be the original work of the Author, and must not have been published before the date of submission.
- The Author's name must not appear as a title or in the body of any page other than the author information page.
- Do keep a copy of your entry, manuscripts cannot be returned.
- Prize Winning Stories will be published on the competition site.
- Entries may be made by E-mail as a Word document (pdfs cannot be accepted), or by post.
- Your work must be accompanied by your name, address, and telephone number which must be included on a separate page or within the body of the E-mail.
Please note: The entry fee is £6 and the fee for a critique is £14.
About Henshaw Press:
It is a small group of writers, editors, lecturers, and of course readers who wish to actively support creative writing. It runs quarterly competitions throughout the year. Its aim is to encourage as wide a range of writing as possible and competitions are open for any subject and any style.
