Workshop in the Field of Sustainability and IoT and Valuable Prizes for Creative Developers from Hacker Earth

Hacker Earth is calling developers and anyone who can code and is interested in IoT, and environmental sustainability use cases to a workshop and a competition for for technology innovation and creativity. IoT and sustainability are broad subjects, offering plenty of opportunities for technology innovation and creativity. So, for this hackathon, the only requirement is to propose projects that address one or more environmental challenges all face across the globe today. Submissions can target suggestions such as Hack for:

• Smart Energy.
• Smart Water.
• Food Production.
• Pollution.
• Transportation.

If you are one of the winners in this hackathon, you will get one of the following prizes:

Main Prizes

• First Place: USD 10,000.
• For who nailed every element and impressed the judges.
• Second Place: USD 5,000.
• For who almost perfect, but missing an element or two.
• Third Place: USD 2,500.
• For who very close, maybe next time.

Special Prizes

•  Most Creative Submission: USD 1,000.
• The evaluation committee will select one submission from the hackathon phase to receive this award.
•  CTO Award: USD 1,000.
• TIBCO Software’s CTO will select one submission from the hackathon phase to receive this award.

You must follow the following terms:

1. An online hackathon and you can participate from anywhere. 
2. You can register for the hackathon as an individual or as a team of up to five (5) individuals. 
3. The theme of the hackathon is sustainability, and your solution must fall into one of the five (5) sub-theme categories associated with sustainability. 
4. You/your team will need to receive a total score of seventy (70) points or higher to participate in the Development Phase. 
5. You/your team can submit as many submissions as you would like in each phase of the hackathon. However, your last submission will be the solution that will be evaluated by the judges and eligible to win prizes.  
6. All submissions must be uploaded to the HackerEarth Challenge Page to be eligible to win prizes.
7. Winners will be selected based on a point system awarded for each submission. 
8. You are expected to come up with new and innovative ideas, and any idea used from a third party and/or site will result in a disqualification of your submission.
9. Your solution must be developed entirely during the duration of the hackathon.
10. You may use open source libraries in your solution in accordance with the TIBCO LABS IoT and Sustainability Hackathon Rules.
11. By participating in the hackathon you agree to the Hackathon rules.
