Opportunity description
UNV offers an online volunteer opportunity and is looking for support from motivated 4 online volunteers with Ukraine language skills and previous experience in translating. This volunteer program will last for 2 weeks to translate article from English to Ukraine for the UNITAR Prosperity Division.
Duties & responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- Support with the translating of +/- 5 pages of documents to be on the communications, under the guidance of the program team of the Division.
- The original article is in English.
- Utilizing your editing skills to make the sentences and structures become easy enough for readers in the general public.
Eligibility criteria
You must have:
- Native Ukrainian language skills.
- Work experience in translation.
- Ability to work 6 - 10 hours per week.
- Work experience in writing in the fields of communications, public information, journalism, or related fields.
- English, Level: Working knowledge.
- Ukrainian, Level: Mother tongue.
